Baker College M.S.O.T. Program
The Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy (MSOT) at Baker College is designed to be a continuation of Baker College's Pre-Occupational Therapy Bachelor's Degree Program. Students must be accepted into the Bachelor's program (4-year program) in order to be eligible for the MSOT (2-year program). Minimum Volunteer Hours: Shadowing of an occupational therapy professional is encouraged but not required. Students should be familiar with the profession of occupational therapy and the types of populations that OT serves. This can be completed through online research, readings, an Introduction to OT course at another university, or personal experience. Volunteer or work experience with diverse populations representative of those who may receive OT services (i.e., pediatric, geriatric, homeless, disabled, underserved, etc.) assists with development of leadership and service skills and will strengthen a candidate’s application.
Prerequisite Deadline: At least 4 of the 6 prerequisite courses must be complete at time of application with a documented plan for completion of all prerequisites.

While a professional health program may accept prerequisite courses graded in the binary S/NS or CR/NC system, they may still request that you report your numerical grades for those courses when applying to their programs.
